Exceptionally fluffy pancakes

This morning I put Ruth's lively sourdough starter to good use, making Emma's sourdough buttermilk pancake recipe. (Except I didn't have any buttermilk, so used Caspian Sea Yoghurt instead.)

I think they were the fluffiest pancakes I've ever made. And they tasted good too.

Hey, as an aside...have you passed it on yet? I could try and keep tabs on the travelling sourdough and see if it comes back to me! (or within the 6 degrees of separation lol)

Hi Ruth - no - I haven't passed it on - but would love to.

I've been wondering if there's specific etiquette for that? Do you just acknowledge who you got it from and then feel free to pass it on to anyone? (I mean I know no-one can patent their sourdough starter or anything ;o), but just wondering if any people ever get miffed if you pass their starter on? Or is all starter just assumed to be 'open source'? lol.)

Okay, I know I over-think these things ....

lol, I don't know, but you could make your own sourdough etiquette...I'm all for sharing the love...although acknowledgement is always nice for one's ego :)
p.s, nice to know a fellow over thinker :P
